Sava MITROVIĆ

Sava Mitrović works as a Researcher at the European Policy Centre (CEP – Belgrade), the highest-ranked think tank in Southeast Europe. He is engaged in two CEP programme areas (Good Governance & Our Europe) through which he has been actively involved in monitoring the implementation of EU-related reforms in the Western Balkan region, as well as in the development of the Model of Staged Accession to the EU. In addition, he was a co-author of the Western Balkan PAR Monitor 2021/2022, a comprehensive compilation report which presents key findings for the entire region across six areas of public administration reform, as well as several policy papers that address main shortcomings of public administrations in the region.
He is currently engaged by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) as a national expert for Serbia in the SIGMA 2024 assessment of public administration in the areas of public financial management, as well as service delivery and digitalisation. Sava obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in International Relations at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Belgrade as the best student in his year, and he is currently pursuing PhD degree at the same faculty. He is also engaged as a Research Assistant at the Faculty of Political Science, and his active involvement in scientific research has resulted in the publication of numerous papers in academic journals within the fields of Serbia’s foreign policy, European integration and Western Balkan relations.
His professional specialisation started at the Centre for International Public Policy, where he managed several projects as the coordinator of the International Cooperation Sector. During his studies, he won the “PhD Predrag Simić“ competition for the best-written paper in the field of Balkan relations, as well as the competition of the Ministry of European Integration for the best paper on the EU.
