Brigadier Balázs Szloszjár graduated from military high school and later from the Kossuth Lajos Military College as Infantry officer. He studied at the Hungarian Defence University alongside participated in ten different NATO/US courses. He served in various field positions from platoon leader to brigade commander in three different brigades. He also gained experiences in the Land Forces Command, and General Staff as planner and training officer. During his career he took part in eight missions abroad (incl. Kosovo, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Afghanistan) and participated in different multinational formations (AMF(L), NRF, EU Battlegroup, HUN-RO Peacekeeping Battalion). His performance has been recognised with 15 different awards including NATO Meritorious Service Medal, US Bronze Star and Slovakian Cross III.
