Chairman of the Western Balkan Committee, Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Attila Galambos has been the Chairman of the Western Balkan Committee in the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce since 2012. He also took the position of the Vice President of the International College of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 2020. As executive director and owner of the Communautrade Co. LTD (1991-2003) and the Communautrade–Europe Co. LTD (2004 -) he has been engaged in various activities (trading, consulting, finance and investments) in the Western Balkan countries and Southeast Asia. Among others he was involved in food products export in Albania, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo, energy investment in Serbia and co-foundation of energy cooperation network in the Western Balkans. He was also an advisor of OTP Bank during a bank privatisation in Albania, gave consultancy in the Western Balkans regarding EU funds-related public procurement management and supported business development projects in the region.
In 2015 he was Honorary Consul of the Republic of North Macedonia to Hungary. Currently he is also member of the Hungarian-Serbian Steering Committee (since 2018) and 1st Honorary Representative of the Football Association of Albania (since 2019). He studied International Economic and Financial Relations at the former Karl Marx University of Economics.
