Péter Reményi studied Geography and History at the University of Pécs and obtained his PhD in Geography in 2009. Since 2005, he has worked at the Institute of Geography and Earth Sciences at the University of Pécs.  From 2021, he has also worked at the Center for Economic and Regional Studies. His research interests include political geography, geopolitics, state- and nation-building, and border studies, especially in Southeast Europe. He is the author of more than 130 papers.
