Since December 2020, Cristina Gherasimov serves as Advisor on foreign policy and European integration to the President of the Republic of Moldova. During 2021-2022, she also served as Chief of Staff. Prior to that, she was a research fellow at the Robert Bosch Center for Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, and Central Asia from December 2018 to December 2020. She also worked at Transparency International – Defence & Security as manager of the Government Defence Anti-Corruption Index (GI). In 2017, Gherasimov was a research fellow at Chatham House with its Russia and Eurasia Program, where she examined political parties and elite renewal in Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine. From 2013 to 2016, she was a lecturer in international relations and European politics at Rutgers University in New Jersey.
