In this episode of the renewed podcast series of the Hungarian Institute of International Affairs entitled Budapest Outlook, we will discuss the European Political Community (EPC) and its relations with the Western Balkans. Our guests are Florent Marciacq, Deputy Secretary General of the Austro-French Centre for Rapprochement in Europe, Ardian Hackaj, Research Director of the Cooperation and Development Insititute, Tirana, and Romain Le Quiniou, Managing Director of Euro Créative. The reporter is Gergely Fejérdy, senior research fellow of our Institute.

We discuss the formation and purpose of the EPC, expected topics of its second summit in Moldova in June, and the topics the discussants think EPC should focus on. The Western Balkan countries have also joined the EPC, and their possible benefits are also covered, just as the so-called Berlin process and the chances of the EPC to be an instrument for EU enlargement.

The recording took place on the sidelines of the Budapest Balkans Forum.
