Holger HAIBACH

Country Director of the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation for Croatia and Slovenia

Holger Haibach is the Country Director of the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation for Croatia and Slovenia. He graduated in 1999 in Latin and History at the Justus-Liebig-University in Giessen (Hessen). Then he became the Head of the Office of District Administrator Jürgen Banzer in the district of Hochtaunus in Hessen (1999-2002). Between 2002 and 2011 he was Member of the German Parliament (Bundestag) for the Hochtaunus District, and participated in the work of the Foreign Affairs Committee, the Human Rights Committee (as vice chairman), the Committee on Affairs of the European Union, as well as the Committee on Development Cooperation (as the spokesperson for the CDU/CSU parliamentary group)

From 2011 to 2013, he was the Country Director of the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation for Namibia and Angola and – as an intermediate – in 2012 for Zimbabwe. In 2014-2015 he was the Country Director of the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation for Chile, then until 2018 he was the Head of the HR and Finance Department in the headquarters of CDU in Germany 2019.
