Mihail ARANDARENKO
Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Belgrade
Mihail Arandarenko is a full professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Belgrade, and Chairman of the Board of the Foundation for the Advancement of Economics (FREN). He obtained his Ph.D. degree in 1998 from the University of Belgrade. In 1999-2000 he was a postdoctoral Fellow at the Collegium Budapest – Institute for Advanced Study, in 2000-2001 Research Fellow at the Central European University and the Hungarian Academy of Science, in 2014-2015 Visiting Senior Fellow at the London School of Economics, and in 2019 Visiting Professor at the City University of New York.
He has published extensively, including the monographs: “The Labour Market in Serbia: Trends, Institutions, Policies” (2011) and “Mapping the Serbian Labour Market” (2006). Professor Arandarenko’s research areas include labour markets, employment policy, industrial relations and social policy. He received various international grants for labour market research and has been a consultant throughout Southeastern Europe for leading international organisations and agencies, including the European Commission, the World Bank, the UNDP, the ILO, the OECD, the USAID, GIZ etc.
