Emir Đikić is currently Director of the Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA)Secretariat. He graduated from Moscow State University where he obtained both a BA and MA in Economy. He then worked in the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he was a member of the negotiation teams for the Stabilization Association Agreement, the CEFTA Agreement, and the accession of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the World Trade Organisation. In 2003, he continued his career in the private sector as a consultant, mainly supporting the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations.  Emir Đikić has also been actively engaged in non-governmental organisations over the course of his career, serving as a member of the Board of Directors for Transparency International from 2001 to 2008 and then chair of the Board of Directors from 2008 to 2015.  In May 2017, Emir Đikić was appointed a director of the CEFTA Secretariat by the CEFTA Joint Committee.
