Ioannis Armakolas is an Associate Professor in Comparative Politics of South East Europe at the University of Macedonia (Greece) and senior research Fellow and head of the Southeast Europe programme at the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP). He is a member of the Europe’s Futures Fellows alumni network of the Institute for Human Sciences ofVienna and the Erste Foundation.  Ioannis Armakolas is an editor or associate editor of several publications including Political Trends and Dynamics, the regional journal of the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung-Dialogue Southeast Europe (FES SOE, Sarajevo), the book series ‘Southeast European and Black Sea Series’, published by Routledge, and the academic journal ‘Southeast European and Black Sea Studies’ (Routledge journals, Taylor & Francis). He currently serves as a member of the Working Group for the Formation of the Bilateral Youth Cooperation Office between Greece and North Macedonia, based on the Prespa Agreement that solved the so-called ‘name dispute’.
